Red Velvet Love

Immediately after making these cupcakes my facebook status was: "When I die, I hope it's from eating too many red velvet cupcakes." And it could not be more true! These were soooo yummy. I love cream cheese frosting more than anything!

I struggle a bit with the true deep red colour in my red velvet, I can never believe how much food colouring it actually cakes! But this past weekend we were in Kallispell wandering through Walmart and came across RED VELVET CAKE MIX! Seriously, why are we lacking this is Canada? I find nothing wrong with a cake mix for cupcakes I make for fun, its quick and easy, and really cupcakes are alll about the frosting! Anyways, these have the craziest deep red colour.... love it! When I make a batch I will post the pics... if they last that long!

How awesome are these cupcake liners! I'm in love with them, and got the perfect opportunity to use them for Amariah's first birthday bash! I also made a small princess cake for her but didnt get any decent pictures... ugh!

Too Much Fun!

So you have to love it when the bride says... ''just bring a cake... whatever you want... go for it!''

Lance and Courtney are two of the most vibrant people you will ever meet! So an ordinary, traditional cake just would not do. I knew Courtney wanted crooked and pink... those were my guidelines. So after coming up with an idea I started to decorate and went uhhh.... no, that doesnt work. So I was there needing to come up with an idea asap! So I went back to look at the ideas I had for other cakes saved up and saw this design... so fun! It really worked well with the shape of the cake and when I dropped it off it really fit the whole fun theme of the wedding.

Viva Las Vegas!

Ok so how about a suprise birthday trip to Vegas! Seriously! Don asked me to make this cake to take to his wife at work to suprise her with a trip that day! They were staying at New York New York! When I dropped it off I added a bunch of chocolate coins on top... just to add a little something extra! Thanks and hope your trip was great!

Dark and Dramatic

This may not be the most traditional wedding cake colour but I think it looks so cool with the red and yellow flowers. The ribbons also help break it up. Very fun cake :)

Ok so if you are close to me you know of my serious (I MEAN SERIOUS) addiction to anything Mario. Corey is embarassed of me but I have mastered every mario game out there i think! So this cake was fun!!! I know it doesnt look like that much here but when i delivered it they had little mario figurines for on top! Super fun! Love it... love MARIO.
